Audi R8 is Jooooy!
The main argument of the advertisement is that with an Audi R8 you'll be joyful and a joyful that has meaning. The purpose of this ad is to persuade the audience, drivers and future drivers to purchase an Audi R8. The author is Audi.
This ad doesnt really have a ethical or logical appeal. The appeal is a little bit emotional because it appeals more to the eye and to the heart of someone who wants an Audi. The only evidence present is the Audi symbol at the bottom of the page. There are no counterarguments present.
The visual in the image is the car with lots of tire marks around the car. The tire marks make it look like the car can be maneuvered and driven any which way possible.
The writing is pretty clever. The authors used Audi's four circle symbol to spell out 'joy'. The text also says, 'Finally has meaning'. I think its kind of true. If someone did obtain an Audi R8 I think they would be pretty happy.
In conclusion I think this ad was pretty effective. Its not going to persuade every person that sees the ad to buy an R8 but its appeals to the eyes.

I can not stop eating meat!
In the article, "Against Meat" Foer talks about his journey as an eater. He states that throughout his life he's gone through many vegetarian phases. At certain times he would eat meat and certain times he wouldn't. His main arguments against meat are animal cruelty and the healthiness/lack of healthiness of the meats we eat. Foer and his family are now permanent vegetarians.
I believe Foer is right in what he states about animal cruelty and the healthines/ lack of healthiness of the meats we consume but this shouldn't stop people who love meat from completely eating meat. There's always an alternative. There's organic meats that are farm grown and grass fed. If a person does their research they can truly find an alternative.
I personally have gone through the vegetarian phase a couple times I ended giving into the meat atTexas Roadhouse and to mY aunts chicken fried rice. I love eating meat but in moderation and I can't give if up. 😀🍗🍔🍖🍗🍔🍖

Technology! Technology! Technology!
In my most recent of They Say I Say, Chapter 13; "They" argue that we have lost our ability to think by ourselves. Another argument is that the Internet has made us good at a certain rhetoric called kairos which basically means adjusting to our audience and adjusting our tones and techniques to get our points across. A third argument in the book is whether technologies have better or worsened our communication skills.
To a certain point I think the first argument (that we have lost our ability to think by ourselves) is true. Not completely true but true to a certain point. Many people don't analyze things(books, assignments, or anything of that matter) by themselves, they go to the Internet to see what others say about a certain things and use that as their own idea. I noticed that a lot while I was in high school. I found myself doing this when I couldn't understand something.
I find the second argument to be a bit true too. Some people understand how to adjust their tone and get their point across and be able to adjust to their audience. Some on the other hand don't.
I believe technologies have both made communication better and worse. For the better, people far away from others can talk, chat, Skype, or FaceTime. For the bad, The communication isn't always perceived the same way. Technology in communication has both its bad and good.
Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and when it comes to technology everything can be seen from many different perspectives. Technology can be abused and used in the right way.

My Messed Up Writing Process!
My writing process is absolutely horrible! Theres times when I'm on top of my game and totally prepared and then theres times when I wait weeks and then start my essay.
When my professor is prepared and has guidelines and set dates for me to follow then I'm totally prepared and good to go.
If my professor just gives me an assignment and sets me loose I usually procrastinate.
I haven't followed this exact writing process. I had different ways in which I do a first and second draft and have them peer edited and then go straight to the final draft with proofreading.
This Writing Process that we've been given in English class seems very helpful. It seems like the right way to get things done and to be prepared. I should be prepared and get decent grades in this class. 😀😀
